Man, they are relentless today! I must have flagged 8 posts already. Every time I read a legit post, there’s another ad from Temu! And I think I see a new one, in the length of time it’s taken me to type this…
I flagged so many this morning the site asked me to wait 13 hours before doing it again ![]()
And there are, like, 6 MORE right now! I’ll keep going until I get blocked, or until Admin boots “ayanm”. The earlier ones were from someone using a “k” initial.
They just keep on a-comin’! Flagged another six from “D”. I guess there’s no way for admin to block any incoming posts with the word “Temu”?
Thanks for flagging these posts and helping the forum. I’ll see if the forum filter can be set higher to exclude some of the deluge.
I had a bot telling me that I should hire a construction company to help me with sewing on my sleeves. I mean I was going to use mattress stitch but I might consider steel girders or concrete next time ![]()

Ha!
We can help you with that! I’m sure I can find a video somewhere.
I think steel girders and concrete are the solution. ![]()
Like I needed another reason to dislike Temu. I’m sick of the spam but I think some getting through can’t be helped. I’m glad those here who can delete spam and play with filters do a good job. Thank you!
eta PS I see some of the Temu spam is verified. By whom or what I wonder. ![]()
It does make you scratch your head. We’ll see if the forum filter is teachable.
Interesting! I must have flagged at least 18 posts yesterday. Today I’ve flagged 2, and on the 3rd one it says I’ve done it too many times and have to wait 37 minutes. Maybe it’s how many in 24 hours?
And today Temu is in German…
Also Italian and Spanish…

I’m imagining Monty Python in pig latin. ![]()

From what I’ve heard here in HK, Temu is a dying concern in China. I’d be wary of anything from them at this point. Rather than flagging posts, just delete your account, if they’ll let you.
Do you mean block my Temu account? I don’t have one. I never trusted Temu. I blocked all cookies from them in case I accidentally click a Temu link.
I’ve not noticed Temu spam today, maybe the last couple days. Something’s working. Thank you to those who remove the trash and find ways to stop it.
I’ve always been wary of Temu, I’d say I’m happy they’re dying (if true) but there’d likely be something similar and possibly worse to take their place.
The ads weren’t in my Temu account, as I don’t have one. They were appearing as posts in this Forum. You may not have seen them because a few of us were flagging them as spam.
@GrumpyGramma–it’s easy to do! When you see a problem post, click on it (no dire consequences from opening the post), then scroll down to the very bottom and click “Flag”. Choose what the issue is (usually “Spam”) and Submit. The post will go off to where Sheldon can block it and the sender.
Thank you. I’ve often reported spam posts.
Ah, I understand. I haven’t seen the ads here, so I thought people were getting them elsewhere. Good to know it’s no longer cropping up here. And good on anyone without a Temu account.
