Surry Hills cardigan pattern

Reading the pattern for the Surry Hills Cardigan. Does anyone know the guage for this pattern?

Welcome to KH. This pattern?

Gauge is hidden (I mean that, itā€™s hard to see and I almost missed it) in the bluish box on the left, top of the second page.

Gauge
15 sts x 27 rows in Flower Lace Pattern and
22 sts x 26 rows in stockinette stitch
using larger needle.

Iā€™m so glad you asked. Thatā€™s a beautiful lace pattern that I must use. I hope you share a photo or three or more as you work on it.

HUGS to you! Hey, itā€™s confirmation. Iā€™m into confirmation bias for this. :rofl: I want to see the progress on this cardi. I really, really love the lace pattern and best of all itā€™s charted!

eta Apparently we were posting at pretty much the same time. It happens. I know because itā€™s happened to me before.

Ooh pretty pattern. Iā€™ve just downloaded it to keep for a future knit. It would be a challenge for me as knitting sleeves in the round is not in my skill set.
Thanks for the link and I hope you enjoy this project.

Creations, if you have any experience at all in knitting with the magic loop on circs, I suggest you give that a try for your sleeves. Youā€™d be amazed how simple it really is. I like to knit my sleeves two at a time so they come out exactly the same length without a lot of fussy measuring. Itā€™s just what works best for me. Admittedly, itā€™s probably easier to do this working flat, but the magic loop would be acceptable, if youā€™re not knitting from the shoulder down. Just a suggestion.

I like doing my sleeves two at a time also. Iā€™m working on a modified raglan pullover, top down, and will probably do the sleeves two at a time on magic loop. Iā€™ve come to realize that what is for me obvious and easiest and best way doesnā€™t work so well for someone else and their way of doing things might not work for me. I canā€™t use short circs, for example, even the 16" ones for hats. The short tips make my hands hurt because I have to actually hold onto the tip with my fingers.

What a cute sweater! Saved to my Favorites for future use. I hope youā€™ll share pics of your progress!

I understand that ā€” about the short circs making your hands hurt. I learned to knit socks on DPNs. Even though I often use long circs even for flat work if there are a lot of stitches, I could never get used to that pesky loop sticking out to knit two socks at once with magic loop. So I just went back to my DPNs and am happy with them. Iā€™ve never been bothered by ā€œsecond sock syndromeā€ so knitting two consecutively is no problem. But, Iā€™ve recently invested in the Hiyahiya Flyers flexible needles specifically for doing Judyā€™s magic cast on for two up socks. I can only get a few rows done before my hands are aching from those short tips! But it works right well for this particular cast on, so I persevere. After all, two or three rows is really all you need before switching to DPNs.
