Substitution question

I am considering knitting this scarf…

What would happen, or would it even work, if I used one hank of Malabrigo (216 yds) and size 10.5 needles?

I’m looking for a nice scarf that I can use my one hank of Malabrigo for.

It would be wider is all. You could cut down the CO to 18sts and K6/p6 instead of 8sts and that would probably make it about the same width.

I thought about doing K6 P6, but wasn’t sure if I should.

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever learn yarn/needle substitutions. :wall:

With using the Malabrigo, will it be less airy? Not that that really matters, just wondering?

I don’t know, not familiar with the Big M. If it’s a worsted weight yarn, it may be a bit looser, but not that much. I like knitting on 10.5s with worsted, I really don’t care for dense knits.

It is worsted, I think I’ll swatch it to see what happens.
