Stuck on "pick up and knit" section for jumper collar

I’m making this jumper but I’m using a variegated wool:

I’ve only got the collar left to do. It says “With 7mm needles and right side facing rejoin M yarn and pick up and K15sts evenly down left side of front neck, K8sts from centre front [these 8 are on a stitch holder], pick up and K15sts evenly up right side of front neck, …”.

I’ve looked at videos of “pick up and knit” and they all proceed leftwards. But these instructions seem to be telling me to proceed rightwards. Don’t they? Can anyone please help?

Hello
Left front means the left as you would wear it, right front is right a you would wear it.
The left front is showing on the right of your photo, so you need to work the opposite direction of your arrow.
With right side facing means the outside or public side of the sweater, so it will be the way you’ve seen on videos, the right side facing you, begin on left front (right of your pic) and work down, across the center fron then up (right to left on your photo).

I hope this makes sense.
It’s easy to get these right/left and right/wrong mixed too.

You’re welcome. Glad to be able to help.
Sometimes I have to physically hold the sweater against me to make sure I have the left front.

Maybe you’ll post a pic when you’re finished, we do like to see what everyone is making.
