Hi,
I am very new into knitting, and currently working my way up. I just encountered a road block in my current pattern it goes as:
41 sts on the needle
Knit 26 sts, turn.
Knit 11 sts, turn.
Knit 22 rows across these 11 sts, leaving the remaining sts on the needle while the heel is being worked. Break the yarn.
If anyone could please explain this to be it would be greatly appreciated, tried to watch videos but can’t seem to find an explanation.
Where is says ‘turn’ just pretend you are at the end of the row and turn the work around ready to work your way back. Even though you are not at the end of the row just treat it as though you are.
You are going to work on 11 stitches to shape a heel and then you will move on to the next part if the pattern. It will make sense later.
So, knit 26, stop, turn all the work around and work back 11 stitches with whatever stitch you are to use on the wrong side, turn again.
Now work another 22 rows only on those 11 stitches (work across, turn, work back, turn, work across, turn and so on until 22 rows done).
When it comes to breaking off the yarn leave a tail long enough to weave in at the end (4 to 6 inches).
And then if you’re stuck on the next bit just ask again. There’s lots if help here.
I’m not a sock knitter so I can’t help with all of your pattern but others will help.
