Stitching patterns

 Lattice stitching???
I found a great pattern for Novella Socks from Tracy Ulman’s new book, they are super cute, however, I have never worked a lattice stitch and have no clue how? Does anyone else know?

Usually there are instructions for the pattern stitches right on the pattern…generally at the beginning. Is there none for this pattern? I’ve never heard of a lattice stitch.

Here is an example of a knitted lattice stitch, but Jan is right the pattern should tell you how to do the stitch pattern. If not right in the pattern, somewhere in the book you should have row by row instructions.

Multiple of 6+1
Row 1 (right side): k3, *p1, k5; rep from * to last 4 sts, p1, k3.
Row 2: p2, *k1, p1, k1, p3; rep from * to last 5 sts, k1, p1, k1, p2.
Row 3: k1, *p1, k3, p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 4: k1, *p5, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 5: Rep Row 3
Row 6: Rep Row 2.

Rep these 6 rows.

thank you for the help!! It probably was in the book. I copied the pags I thought I needed and lent the book out.
many thanx
