What’s the best way to sew together large pieces, such as strips of an afghan? Please don’t tell me Kitchener stitch…I know how to do it, but I don’t want to have to do it for such large pieces!!

I don’t know that Kitchner stitch (I need to learn). I would think a mattress stitch or slip stitch would work… that is what I use.
Kitchener st is for when you have two ends of work to graft together. Like sock toes or shoulders. Mattress stitching would be fine.
