I have recently finished learning most beginner stitches (garter, stockinette, rib, seed, double seed, box) and lots of different cables. But my thirst for new stitches needs to be satisfied so if you have any neat stitches or cables or tricks please let me know. THANKS
Here’s a link someone posted recently that I bookmarked. http://knittingonthenet.com/
Also - the lionbrand website has a stich directory too.
Good luck!
Somebody give this cool boy a stitch dictionary!
There are lots of good ones, but the Treasuries of Knitting Stitches by Barbara Walker are state of the art. There are four of them; IMHO, the best is #2. Cables by the dozen, lace by the carload, textured stitches, colorwork – all the stitches you’ll every need.:happydancing:
My favorite one is this:
http://www.knittingfool.com/pages/StCatalog.cfm?alpha=A
1640 stitch patterns
When I am a better knitter, I think I will make it my misson to make as many of those patterns as possible on the knitting fool site, take pictures, and email them in…
Thanks guys, thisll keep me busy for a while:cheering:
