Stitch that is eyesore

Hello, everybody, I’m new to the forum and very pleased to be able to get advice. Has anyone ever crocheted a chain stitch along the bottom of a knitted collarline to hide an eyesore stitch or two? This pattern would make it difficult for me to rip out rows. I thought maybe I could mask it somehow. I’d appreciate any suggestions. As of now, I sit and stare at it.

Thank you,
Jerilyn

Not on a collar but I’ve crocheted a slip stitch and in another case a single crochet around a baby blanket. It looked just fine.

Is it something you could just cover with some duplicate stitch?
If it is just a few stitches that might be easier than doing the
crochet.
