Stitch ID?

Hello crafty people!

I started on this blanket a (very) long while back with some super/ginormous bulky weight yarn, and promptly ran out of the yarn. I finally was able to get some skeins to work on it again, but I have since forgotten what stitch it was!

I’m hoping it’s just a normal single crochet, but I honestly have no idea anymore.

Any pros able to take a look and let me know?

Thanks in advance! Hope you have a nice day, and happy crafting!

It might be sc. I can’t tell by looking, I’ve not used that kind of yarn for crochet so don’t know how it looks as it’s worked up. I’d pull out some stitches from the last row to see what they are and then figure out what I had been doing.

It looks like single crochet, I agree with GG to double check by slowly pulling out few stitches. Have a fun :grinning:

My answer is the same. Pull out a few stitches, watching carefully to see if they’re wrapped or not. I also think it’s single crochet, but it MIGHT be hdc. It looks so very different in that yarn!

I am also troubled by the yarn. Specifically why it shows between the parts of the bottom of the stitch.

I am asking if it could be a granite stitch pattern, that is a repeat of (sc, ch space) and on all fol rows work as (SC in the chain spc, ch) across. Always sc in last sc to end row.

How it looks:

Oh, that could be.

It may be important to know what hook size is recommend and what size you used. (I am Puzzled. How delightful.)

Yes…a larger than suggested hook might do that.

Could be granite stitch. The stitches look really odd to me and I was chalking it up to the yarn with which I’ve never crocheted. And never will. I knit with yarn like that…once.
