I’d say my stash is small. But I have yarn everywhere. I need a craft room. I have one of those tall plastic drawer systems on wheels. I have needles and notions and stuff in the top.
The rest are packed with yarn. Then I have a large basket on top with more yarn.
I even have some stashed in the cubboards of my entertainment center…I INSIST on keeping yarn in the living room. And DH inists on not seeing it…so that was our comprimise.
I think yarn in the living room goes very well with my country decor but he disagrees
I consider my stash to be a small one. I have an 18-gal rubbermaid tote that is stuffed so much that I can’t get the lid on, plus one of THESE filled with yarn, and THIS holds all of my wips (except the pair of socks wip that stay in my purse)
stephenie, a craft room only allows for more mess. LOL I know because I have one! :roflhard: As of right now, I can barely see the desk because it’s covered in scissors, pens, scrapbooking stuff, and all my fabric (including the feather knit scarf I took off two days ago and never put away).
I also have the craft tote on wheels, which only allows me more space under the desk to store even more junk and the take along tote which sits on top of the knitting bag in the lounge.
So that just means I have one more room to clean up. haha!!
wow, if you guys think your stach is tiny, mine must be miniscule :roflhard: I have about twety skiens/hanks/balls of yarn, but do not fear ^_^. I’ve just learned that my great great grandma (who I never met) was a big crochet-er, and left all her yarn to the next crafty person in the family. I guess the crafty gene can skip generations, because I just got a huge bag of yarn :cheering:
Using kemp’s sizing system, if I ever try to start the “medium” size, I think my hubby will think getting rid of me and the stash all together from the house to make room :roflhard:
Using Kemp’s system - tiny. Aside from yarn for projects currently on the needles, less than 50 skeins. Once I finish a project, I immediatlely give away what’s left over (if there’s enought to make it worthwhile) or just dispose of it (if it’s too little). Anyone else do this?
But I would definitely love to have more waiting in line!
Oh I loved the de-stash link!! I’ve been considering buying carders and they were there!
Anyway, I am not sure how many hanks or balls of yarn I have. I have three small bins that hold maybe a few gallons. I have a large bin that holds 18 gallons. It contains mostly my acrylic or acrlyc blends. I have two bags of yarn that I’ll be using soon. I have less than a dozen books, but lots of magazines.
Since I spin I have about 4 pounds of fiber. I refuse to buy more until it’s all spun.
Everything is stored, not so neatly in my craft room.
I guess that is small - medium? To me it’s large and I am working on de-stashing by knitting up projects. I’m starting with my wool. It’s easy to use up wool. Felting! I just finished booga bag and managed to get rid of some brown! Makes me feel good. Next a mitered bag for a KAL.
