My DD figures out that the peppermint twist is a tape measure. Silly old me :teehee: you know your getting old when your kids have to tell you how things work. I just thought that it would be so cute on my c-mas tree next year. Thank you so very much, I love what you sent.
I’ve been working on Tyler’s Blanket and it should be done and ready to send by this weekend.
DH hit the mother load for me the other day. He went to do a bid for an elderly lady from our church. She was busy cleaning out her sewing room and sent him home with 2 industrial size garbage bags of yarn After sorting through the colors we now have 4 13 gal. size bags of yarn to use for charity projects. My DD and I are so excited. Of course one whole bag is bright orange. She also sent me an old book on lace crochet patterns. It is a really old book but DD loves it. I told DH that he did good
Score! I had a friend that decided to make her family crocheted afhgans for Christmas one year. She bought yarn for each one and made about 14 then burned out. She gave me a huge bag of her leftovers. Some were partial skeins and some were full skeins. The yarn I used for Tyler’s blanket came from that stash.:woohoo:
I received the smurf blanket in the mail today! I need to do a border and then it will be complete! The blanket looks great. I will post a picture after I get the border done. As it stands now we have 4 blankets going to the Linus Project (Strawberry Sundae, Ocean Waves, Candy Corn and Smurfs). Smurfs and Strawberry Sundae need borders and then I will box it up and take it to Longview! I have posted pictures of the other two completed blankets on my ravelry page (secksiebrat) and will post these as well when they are complete.
Tyler’s blanket is almost complete and so is SW. I’ve got a few other little things to finish up and then I’ll work on casting on a new blanket!

I can’t wait to see the completed blankets! We’ve settled back into our “after holiday” routine (rutt?) and I’m ready for more. You can add me to whatever needs another knitter.

Thanks to everyone who knit on Tyler’s blanket. Tyler and his Grandma are on their way back to NM this week. So I will get to deliver the blanket in person. I’ll be sure to post a picture.
