Hi I know there is a lot of people that knitted this pattern and just need a little help please. I put the 15 stitches on hold I just knitted up to the thumb do I skip those stitches I seen one picture that looked like she did. I am on the left mitten. Tried to upload a picture but I don’t know how. Is this an after thought thumb?I could not find a tutorial on the thumb part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve had my eye on this pattern for awhile.
It looks like you work a thumb gusset, put sts on hold for the thumb then cast on over the held sts and continue with the hand. Read on to the next instructions and see what happens on the next round.
