Here are some things I have finished/fixed.
These are my first baby umbilical hat and socks. I love, love the bright yarn! Now, I have to make another set–twins!! (not mine)
I finally finished MySoCalledScarf and I love her very much.
The beret is something I knitted a few months ago and it turned out to be too big, despite my gauge swatch. I worked with it, trying to engineer it to fit in some way and as a last ditch, I threw her into the washer and felted her. Now it fits and I like it even better!
I made the purse las October when I was not yet a knitter–I kept having sword fights with the needles–so it is crocheted. I made long handles so it could I could wear it hans-free but I never like the way the handles looked and never used the purse even once. Finally, I got a brainstorm. I removed the handles, got out the exacto knife, and cut slits to create handles. One more round in the washer and the I-cord handle holes disappeared. Now I use it everyday!! And, I am happy to report that I am now a knitter and it!!
The beanie is for my future son-in-law and I was winging it without a pattern. Again, despite a guage swatch, it was too big. In the washer it went and it fits perfectly now!
The lace scarf is my first and the asymmetrical poncho is a gift for my niece (hope she likes it!).
The moral of my stories is NEVER GIVE UP!
