I am working on a pair of socks that asks me to cast on 78 st…this is fine…but I am working a k2 p2 rib, and that leaves me with k4 at the round join…
Should I add or subtract two stitches somewhere?
Or perhaps I should just go for a k3 p3 pattern instead?
I think the only problem you’ll face with adding or subtracting stitches is having a different number of stitches for your heel turn/instep; you don’t want to have a wonky heel! 3x3 rib sound like a good alternative… that’s my favorite rib, anyway
CO 2 less or 2 more so you can do the rib; if the pattern st needs 78 sts exactly, then just inc/dec to that number for the sock.
Thanks…
I ended up going with the 3x3 rib…it was just easier that way…
