Hey guys…We here in South Texas don’t gte much of a winter, but when that little time comes, it’s a shocker. I want to make my honey some socks for the winter… but i dont know of a pattern. I want it simple too…I havent ever knit socks before.
I’m a little confused… That sock conversion looked like it tells how many inches and whatnot are for a woman or a man depending on their shoe size? This is good information, but the problem right now is that I dont have a pattern big enough for my boyfriend’s feet :?? That or I need someone to guide me on how to caculate my own sock pattern…
I really do thank you for those links though :happydance:
Actually by doing a little research I found this pattern, but before I start…do you think it’s worth it? I’ve never done socks and want to make sure it’s an easy one to do…
I was actually looking for a sock pattern similar to your situation - my boyfriend wears a size 12 shoe. I’m currently working on a pattern from a book called Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. It’s one of the best books in my collection. She gives very specific instruction for 4 or 5 needles, as well as 2 circulars, most size socks plus tons of patterns. I truly recommend this book!
I’ll have to look out for that one thanks. I decided to start the wiseneedle pattern and had to restart about 4 or 5 times … Its not that its hard- its just different and I’m making little mistake.
LOL, I don’t think I will ever be able to knit socks for Mike. He’s a size 15, extra wide. I have enough trouble buying him socks, let alone ever finding a pattern to knit him socks :rofling:
haha, right? wow. That’s really big feet there! I dont think it’d be too hard to alter a pattern for him. It seems this sock I’m knitting may fit my darlin afterall. And it says for 13+ She even has a “Sasquatch” pattern…
