Sl1 kwise tbl?

Hi everyone, pretty much complete beginner knitter here! This is the first time I’m working off a pattern so it’s been an adventure and a half learning to read them as well as learning to knit in general.

I’m having trouble figuring out what “sl1 kwise tbl” means exactly. It shows up a lot in this pattern, and it’s the tbl part that’s throwing me off. Would it be something like this?

Yes, that is basically how you do it. Leave the yarn in back like you knit, but slip the next stitch through the back of the loop. It twists the stitch intentionally.
