I have tried to figure this out and it shows to be for a beginner, but, I need a visual
Is there a video to how to do this pattern?

It would help if youâd tell us which part specifically youâre having trouble with. Is it with the part in your subject line? If so it means to slip a stitch from the left needle to the right with the yarn in front. The slipping is done at the beginning so youâll have nice edges. Itâs not technically necessary to the pattern though.
Yes, that one.
I havenât really done a lot of knitting and I am just now getting back to it after 4 years
I have no idea how to slip a stitch
Okay, I got that one, now what is all of this? * 3, (yo, k1
I know that k is knit and p is purl, but, not sure on all the other stuff. I guess I need to find a knitting dictionary.
Thereâs a wonderful Glossary up on the right of this page, the end tab. It includes videos for many, many abbreviations.
Your pattern defines 3\ for you. Itâs a left slanting triple decrease.
Yo is yarn over and thatâs demonstrated on the Glossary page.
The directions in parenthesis are repeated 5 times for your pattern.
Take is all step by step and youâll get it to work. Maybe try it out first on a small swatch rather than the total cast on of 240sts.
Also, would you please go back to post 1 and edit the pattern? Just the first few lines are all thatâs needed, not the whole pattern. We can get into copyright problems otherwise.
Unless a pattern states specifically to âslip knitwiseâ you always slip the stitch straight across needle tip to needle tip.
In this case you have the yarn in front, slip the stitch left needle to right, then move the yarn to the back.
This video shows you exactly how to do it.
How can I make a sl1 wyif 5 times.
Youâll find it on rnd 2
This is for the Elegantly Simple Baby Blanket, row 1?
âRow 1: sl 1 wyif, * 3, (yo, k1)5 times, yo, /3, p2, rep from * substituting a k1 for the p2 in the last repeat.â
You only work the sl 1 wyif once at the beginning of the row. Repeat the (yo, k1) 5 times. So yo, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1 and so on.
