Sirdar pattern 10028 stitch markers

Pattern in the round slips markers but these don’t tally with stitches ie row 3 ends with sm k1 M1L k8 wrap turn 148 stitches, row 4 is purl sm as go 151 stitches, row 5 starts with k9 M1R k1 sm which is correct to the number of stitches at the of row 3 but not to the additional three stitches on the purl row (151 compared to 148 on row 3). First time knitting in the round.

Welcome to KH!

I don’t see an corrections for this pattern. What happens if you complete the short rows, ignoring the detailed stitch numbers for the round and just paying attention to extending the short rows by 3sts in each directions? How many more short row turns are left?

Thank you. It looks like three. Haven’t done a round before will keep going and see if the raglan edge with the m1 stitches stay correct.

You can always put in a lifeline just in case things don’t look right. Then you can rip out to the lifeline and we can think of another way to work this.

Thanks for your help. Think it’s my pattern reading got to where it should be ending at the centre back and was way off. Going to start again and hopefully make a better job of it. Once again many thanks

Ok, let us know if we can help. Short rows can be confusing but they are also tolerant of small mistakes.
