I had a few skeins of Lamb’s Pride Bulky yarn laying around and since it got cold I needed a new scarf. I found this stitch in a stitch library on about.com’s knitting site and made a beautiful scarf (I had 3 people stop me on the train to tell me how much they liked it and a fellow knitter ask for the pattern!). I’m making a few as Christmas presents and thought I’d share it here for anyone looking for a simple but beautiful scarf that looks more complicated than it is.
Materials: 2 skeins Lamb’s Pride Bulky; 1 pair 10.5 US needles
Finished size: Approx. 60 inches x 6 inches
Note: Due to the lacy nature of the stitch used, the scarf will stretch out with wear. I’ve been wearing mine for about a month and it’s now something like 84 inches x 5 inches.

Note: Pattern is knit across an even number of stitches.
CO 20 stitches (For me this makes a 6 inch wide scarf. If you want a narrower scarf drop 2 stitches for every 1/2 inch.)
Pattern: K1, *YO, P2tog. Repeat from *, K last stitch.
Repeat pattern until desired length. BO and weave in ends.
