I got the pattern for the Norwegian warmth shawl, but following charts is hard for me. I really like the construction/cape look of it, and I was wondering if anyone has a pattern that is similar with clearer or written instructions. Thanks in advance.

There are pages of patterns on Ravelry. Include “written” in the search to highlight those with text instructions rather than charts.
I have a friend who reads out the chart rows to another non-knitter and then goes by those written instructions if that’s any help. Your chart looks relatively small so it might not be such a burden to have a friend do this.
No charts on those 3, i just downloaded and checked. The second one is perhaps a bit plain, no lace, but it has a collar, which doesn’t show too well on the pic.
