Shrug/Bolero pattern

Hi, I am trying to find a ladies pattern in CHUNKY YARN and TWO NEEDLES for a short sleeved Shrug/Bolero but all I seem to find are on circular needles - can anyone help please?
Regards J

There are some patterns for seamed boleros in chunky yarn if you do an advanced search on Ravelry. Other patterns may use a circular needle just because of the number of sts since a bolero is necessarily knit back and forth. Sleeves may be an exception but these too can be knit flat then seamed.

Hi, I should have said SLEEVELESS as well. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe sonething like these?

You could also take a pattern and shorten to a bolero length:

Is chunky 14 sts per 10cm?
Here’s one

Although did you say you don’t like drops patterns?

Hi, love the bolero but I cannot use circular needles unfortunately.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions but can only obtain free patterns as I live in Spain where we use euros also I cannot use circykar needles - need 2 needle pattern.

Hi, just to thank you all for suggestions. After much searching I have found the ideal solution … knit a rectangle fold it in half and hey presto a shrug. Now have the task of working out how many stitches and how long to knit it so this will keep me out of mischief eh?

That works. Lion Brand has a rather loose version of your very suggestion. It’s a matter of fiddling with the proportions to get the fit you would like.

Yes, I sure will have to fiddle to get the correct measurements as I want to use chunky yarn. Luckily it doesn’t have to fit perfectly. Maths not my strong point but I have my calculator, pen and paper so should be ok.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
