Show us your stash!

I’m supposed to be cleaning for a party tomorrow. I keep running back and forth. Boy I hate cleaning. :frowning:

Thanks Kemp!
I keep thinking it would be cool to have a laptop so I could sit, knit/craft, drinky poo, watch tv, but also have KH up right in front of me. But, I can’t justify a laptop since I already have a computer. Besides, that’s good yarn funds that can be used for better things!
Wouldn’t dh be so happy if I got it all cleaned up before he came back to town tonight?
Here I go… :??

I was thinking the same
Here’s a pic of approximtely 3/4 of my stash, everything else is in plastic bags evenly distributed in my little room and of course current projects.

Well, I did it…I had a quickie (threw that in for KK  ).

I only spent about 10 minutes, but the stash area is looking much more organized. At least most of the yarn is out of the shopping bag/box that it came in. I am REALLY glad I did this. I have more yarn than I can possibly knit in a year if not two years! But in my defense much of it was from 40 and 50% off sales…I know…quit rationalizing.

I’ll get it even more organized some other time.

BTW, how does everyone store their yarn. Like the wook especially…do I need to be worried about moths and such?

I’d have to throw away all my clothes to have a closet like that. I think I’m not going to look at this post anymore. :rofling:

:roflhard: :roflhard: Well Ingrid, its just me, DH, 2 cats and 2 dogs in this 3/4 bedroom house. Not only do I have the closet, but an entire ROOM I could devote to it if I wished  Our other spare closet upstairs has the “spare” clothes :roflhard:

Yeah, I guess it would be frowned upon to throw out the OH, DD and two grandsons for the closet space. The cat can stay. She’s naked.

I have a tiny closet in my room i want to have dh help me put wire shelving in… I also have an old dresser that was my dad’s and then mine as a kid. I wanna refinish it and repurpose it for craft storage… like KK does with hers. And perhaps put up high shelves around the room at about the level of the wallpaper border (see my above pic) the prev owners papered that. I don’t mind it, but I thought then I could put baskets of things I don’t use as often up off the floor perhaps?

 My cat’s naked too! I thought it was a weird cat thing!!! :roflhard: :roflhard:

speaking of naked animals, did any of you get that email newsletter from lionbrand that had the lady with the poncho and her pet rat with its matching poncho???

Okay, I’m feeling much better after reading this thread…my stash is not that large at all. Pic 1 is ths whole thing, pic 2 is just what’s waiting to be knit. The rest of it is dregs from completed projects.

Thanks, Bink, for inspiring me to clean it out!

Bink, that’s our guest bedroom. We have a 1931 house, so we’ve stocked it with cool antique furnature that we’ve bought for a STEAL because DH is a deal-finder EXTRORDINAIRE! AND, there are extra drawers in the matching highboy and vanity for when we DO have guests.

KEMPYYYYYY, can’t you drive from Cincinatti to join un Illinoisers at our get-together next weekend? My sister lives in Angola Indiana…right near you. Its only a 3.5 hour drive! You’re FUN and I wanna meet you! Your GIRLS and all!!!

I fit my whole stash on my bed. Sort of.

 Awww, thanks for thinking of me. I have been considering the drive every since you guys started talking about it and I would     to be there and meet everyone! Unfortunately, my DH is having some health problems and he might have surgery coming up this week.

Next time I will really try to make it. Maybe you could consider having it a bit south of Chicagoland

aaaah…poo. Next time DEFINITELY.

I hope your DH is okay!!

Thanks. He was not well last night and was running a bit of a fever. It just goes on and off. It is a super LONG story what is wrong but hopefully nothing too serious. I’ll feel much better I’m sure when the doctor calls back today. I had a pretty rough night :frowning:

Okay, I know that I said earlier in this thread that I wasn’t taking any of my stash out of its pre- :XX: home; and I only took out the 1 ball of Sockotta; 3 balls of kid merino; 1 hank of handpainted opal and 1 hank of handpainted mountain colors sock yarn and 3 hanks of KP’s ‘color your own’ for dyeing  …all bc they are my sock yarn that are not yet balled up & ready to knit. AND…I got my sock order from KnitPicks… :cheering: :cheering: :cheering: :cheering: So, in addition to what I just stated we have: 8 balls of self-striping; 10 balls of Dancing; 4 hanks of Sock Landscape; 2 hanks of Sock Memories; and 4 hanks of Sock Garden !! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :cheering: :cheering: I    it when the mail arrives  !!!
So, here u have a couple of pictures of some of my sock yarn sitting on my love seat… :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

How fun. That is a LOT of socks Rebecca.

:cheering: Knit, Rebecca, Knit! :cheering:

I gotta learn to do me some socks!
