Shoulder knitting chart help!!

I just got this pattern. I am confused with the shoulder work. The pattern has 30 stitches at this point (?) and the first round of the chart has less stitches. Please help pictures of pattern are attached.

Welcome to the forum!
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
You probably repeat the chart but it’s not clear to me how many raglan seams there should be (usually 4).

Thank you!! It is the fortuna’s wheel pullover from the Pom Pom issue 48. Maybe I’ll try that and see how it goes.

Ah, I saw this on the cover of the Pom Pom issue. It is amazing.

I feel like I’m missing something on the beginning of the chart. One of the project knitters mentioned contacting denisejoan for advice and it seems she was very helpful. You might send her a message on Ravelry just to be sure you start this sweater out right.

The charts don’t seem to make sense with the number of stitches in the instruction, I’m not surprised you’re confused.

It’s a striking sweater, I hope you get an answer from the designer and can move on with it.

Hello! i’m also stuck there were you able to find out how to go from there?

Welcome!

We don’t have an answer on this yet but you might try contacting one of the knitters on Ravelry who has recently finished the sweater. Also contact the designer, Elspeth Vance.
@Emilyrbennett do you know anything more about the beginning of the charts?

Is that the full chart that you posted? It seems to start at stitch 40 rather than at 1.
I’m intrigued as others have produced this sweater so it is certainly possible.

Hello! It’s exactly that! I was able to reach out to someone that recently finished it and the pattern starts in the next page and spans to that one we can see in the picture, making it the 31sts

Wow, pattern starting on the next page is confusing.

I’m really glad to hear you’ve had some help from another knitter and are able to move forward.
Thanks for sharing the answer too because others having the same problem will find your answer here.

Hope you’ll post some progress pics.

There are several complaints on Ravelry about the charts being spread over so many pages. If you can print out the pattern and reassemble the charts it will help. Difficult for those following the pattern on a tablet or knitting program however.
Thanks for solving this!

The yoke chart A and yoke chart B apparently have to pieced together from separate pages as well. There was a better way to do this!
Good luck with it and please do post a photo when you finish.
