Short Rows with Colorwork

I’m working on the Savoy Cardigan by Ken Kunnecke and I’m a little stumped. As you can see, there is a very distinct color pattern throughout. As the shoulders are shaped I’m supposed to do short rows. If I am adding rows to the center and not the ends, how do I continue the pattern so that it looks seamless? Won’t the center of the piece progress further up the pattern than the ends?

Thank you!

Welcome to KH!

That is one stunning sweater and a new favorite. My assumption is that the chart accounts for the short rows. Is there any indication of that in the chart for the back? That means that you need to be on target for the number of sts between short row turns.
The designer seems to be responsive to questions in the Comments section of the Ravelry post so if all else fails you might try asking there too.
There are errata linked on the main Ravelry page and it would be good to check that out although the corrections don’t apply to the short rows.

Welcome ! Love the design
