Short row?

http://www.curlypurly.com/pdf/soaker.pdf

Ok, it’s a pattern in the round. In the directions it says there are different kinds of short rows. (I didn’t know that) and I’ve only done short rows on a sock. So I really need a walk through this one. Lets just say we are doing the newborn size, then what do I do once I get to the short row part, as I would like to incorporate them, but dont think I am understanding it right. I dont want the short row with yarn overs do I?

I think it is saying to make the short rows on the butt. Is that right?

And I am not sure what the picture with the yellow, white and red lines indicate? I might have done fine had I never seen a picture.

Thanks,

I’d guess that the short rows you want would be the wrap & turn kind. In think the lines indicate where the short rows would fall–white being the first, then yellow, then red.

I think you’d knit to the side marker, w & t, purl back to the other marker, w&t, and then knit around, picking up your wraps. I think.

Thanks Ingrid. I’ll just go with it and see what happens. When I get that far, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Baby butts look cute in anything! Plus it’s for peeing in. :roflhard:

LOL I’ll try not to get too worked up over it. HA
