I’m hoping someone might have a small amount of Schachenmayr Baby Smiles Suavel 2ply in Frost colour 01074. I’m knitting Sirdar snuggly pattern 5523 and bought the yarn in a charity shop. Unfortunately I’m 9 rows from the end shaping the 2nd sleeve top(only 38 stitches on the needles & casting off 3 on each of 9 rows left) and I’ve run out of the yarn. I wondered if anyone had any of this yarn stashed away anywhere. I found some on line but it cost £10 to post and seems a little expensive for the small amount I need. If not I might have to do the sleeves again but in a slightly different shade which I have (mint, 01066). Thought it would be worth a shot. Thank you for reading ![]()

The yarn is stashed on Ravelry and in the 01074 color.

You might send a message to the owner even though the yarn is listed as “not for sale.” That’s a default and sometimes isn’t changed.
It might also be worthwhile to buy the yarn even if expensive when you consider the total cost of the yarn including that from the charity shop. Maybe use the extra for a hat to make a set?
I was going to suggest Ravelry too. Beautiful knitting!
Thank you for coming back to me and for your suggestions. I have messaged the seller but haven’t heard back yet. I shall keep trying. Many thanks.
Thank you.
Some people don’t check their Ravelry very often so be patient. ![]()
Bless you, that’s encouraging ![]()
I liked salmonmacs idea of making something to match with the additional yarn if you did buy the ball you saw for sale.
Maybe you could do a combination, like doing the sleeves in the mint you have and then making the leggings in the mint and frost combination too? Or mint sleeves and a frost hat with mint trim? Or booties?
Thank you! Until I get the Frost I’ve actually started doing the sleeves in mint. I have got the white so could do the leggings in a combination of white and mint. When I get the Frost I can do more items with whatever I have left
Thank you for your ideas @Creations!
