Shaping Neck

Hi

I am really stuck on shaping my neck on my jumper I am doing, I have tried several times and I can’t get the correct amount of stitches left.

Could anyone please help and advise what I should be doing?

My pattern is:
I start with 14 sts.

Work 9 rows dec 1 st at raglan edge as before in next and every foll alt row AT SAME TIME dec 1 st at neck edge in next and foll alt rows. 4 sts left.

You want to dec at both the raglan edge and the neck edge on the same row. If you call the next row, row 1, dec on rows 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. That’ll be 2 decreases per row and it’ll take you from 14sts to 4sts.
