Shaping armhole and front bodice

Hi there,
I’m working on a Bernat pattern (Crossover Knit Top) and am having trouble understanding the shaping directions. They are as follows:
Starting with 31 stitches on needle. Stockinette.

Next Row: K2. K2tog. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog. Dec 1st at armhole edge on following alt rows 5 times more. At the same time, dec 1 st at front edge on following 4th rows until there are 16 Sts.

Do I decrease by 2 every knit row, decrease by 1 at the armhole 5 purl rows? Which rows would I dec 1 at the front edge?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, After working the Next Row(29 sts left on needle) and if you call that row 1 then for the armhole edge you will decrease one stitch on rows 3,5,7,9,11 (no further decreases for this side) At the same time, for the front edge, you will decrease one stitch on rows 5,9,13,17,21,25,29,33 which should leave you with 16sts :grinning:

Thank you so much! I’ll try it tomorrow!
