Hi, I’m making my first “Miss Frog” by Twins. I’ve finished the body pieces front and back and I’m ready to sew them together. The directions don’t give details how to do that and I’m wondering if I should start right sides together and turn or start right sides facing out. And what stitch is best for this joining? This is my first stuffed animal. Can you help? Thanks!
Sewing together the body
Such a cute pattern!
You can stitch it together with right sides facing each other using a backstitch as in sewing.
Mattress stitch also works nicely and it is done with the right sides facing out.

Ok, another question about Miss Frog. I had an idea to sew the arms into the seams as I’m sewing up the head and body piece right sides together. Then when I turn it the arms will extend from the seam instead of being tacked onto the outside after stuffing. I’ve been reading lots of construction directions and the arms and legs are always sewn to the outside. Would this work or would it be too bulky?
Thanks!
Depending on how chubby Miss Froggy’s legs and arms are, it should work. You can place one of the arms and just see how the seam feels. If you think your needle can go through it easily and tightly enough, then go ahead.
I’m gonna try it. Thanks so much!
