Sewing on ribbon to ballerina wrap style cardigan

I have just completed a baby ballerina wrap style cardigan and I’m not sure how to sew on the ribbon, the instructions just say: sew on ribbon to left and right fronts using yarn to make a loop on left side seam above border to thread ribbon through. The pattern is sublime 6015. The required amount of ribbon is 1.5 metres, so I’m presuming the ribbon has to be sewn the length of both sides on the wrong side and then thread it through the hole made for this purpose and then through the button loop. Does this mean the ribbon is in two halves? I hope you can help.

Thanks

It looks like knitters improvised on the ties. You could attach a ribbon to each front where it tapers near the hem. The a tie on the inner seam to secure the inner front and a tie on the outer seam to secure the overlapping outer front. That seems simplest to me.

Thank you. I think it may be necessary to use a press stud as well as it looks as though the inner front seems to protrude out of the end when held together.

Hi im doing this pattern as well I don’t know if its me but im not getting the length of the sleeves am I reading this wrong ive gpt 35’stitches the second size but not the 16cm

You can quote a row or two of the sleeve pattern if you’d like. Due to copyrights we can’t post large portions of patterns.

Cast.on 31
Work 9 rows inc 1 stitch at each end of the 5th then every 4th till there are 35 stitches it should.measure 16cm its the second size im doing

It’s possible that your row gauge is different from the pattern gauge. If you’ve increased every 4th row at each end then knit some rows without increases. I’ve had to do that and usually that works out fine on sleeves.

Thank you for the help I can carry on now x
