Seta shappe

I just came across something containing 25% seta shappe, but google isn’t answering my questions.

what is it? It’s in a filatura di crosa mohair blend. 50% mohair, 25% seta shappe, and 25 % something else I can’t remember. wool, I think.

anyone know about this?

Shappe is carded or combed silk. That’s done with waste silk (from making saris for example) so that it can be spun into silk fiber.
