The easiest one I can think of is to use a large circular needle, cast on enough sts to get the length you want with the yarn you are using. You can use the gauge on the label as a rough guide. Knit each row with a different colour {or strand} of yarn, leaving the yarn tails. Once you are done, knot the tails together to make your fringe. Voila! easy scarf and no ends to weave in! scarves that have fringes on the long side are very easy to create without a pattern. If the scarf you want to make is, say, 20 stitches wide, just cast on an extra 10 stitches, and work those 10 stitches in garter stitch for the length of the scarf. Then, BO the first 19 stitches of the scarf, and fasten off the 20th—then let those 10 extra stitches “drop” :shock: and cut the loops along the long side. VOILA! You can make a longer fronge by adding more “extra” stitches.
