I am knitting a blanket in seed stitch and alternating that with a basket weave pattern. the first 10 rows say to seed stitch. I understand that. the 11th row says to: work 7 stitches in seed stitch, then do the basket-weave repeats, then 7 seed stitches. Does the 7 seed stitches mean: a) K1, P1 and repeat that 7 times, or b) K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1?
I imagine it’s just 7 sts at each end of the row in seed st to act as a border around the edge of the blanket, but without knowing which pattern you’re using I’m afraid I can only offer a guess!!
Just with that as the description it sounds like a total of 7 stitches, so option B. But like Not said without the pattern it is kind of a guess. Some designers make up their own jargon and don’t realize the rest of us read it differently
Thank you. I found that it was option B. Makes sense to me now ha
I’m glad it worked out!
