Is seed stitch stretchy enough that you could replace ribbing on the edge of a hat? Just curious.
My seed stitch isn’t stretchy enough to replace ribbing on a hat, where you really need the stretch to help keep the hat ON. I’ve used seed stitch on the edges of Aran patterns on sweaters, and I’ve used seed stitch to replace garter stitch edges on scarves and afghans to eliminate the “stockinette curl”.
Hopefully, if I’m totally off base someone else will chime in.

Try it with smaller needles? :??
