Saw this on Knitty Gritty this morning - help!

So I woke up rather early this morning and saw the following project on Knitty Gritty:

I was still kinda sleepy when I watched it so I wasn’t paying full attention but then I found the pattern online and I want to give it a shot. I have several balls of Knit Picks Andean Silk that I think will be perfect for this corset-T.

All I have tho is a size 5, 16in circular…I’m assuming that this is ok right? Does my circular have to be longer to accomodate 199 stitches?

Although it was for a 24" diameter double knit hat I just had 192 stitches of worsted weight wool on a size 8 x 16" circular.
It wasn’t too crowded.
