Hi, I’m sandrhockey. I made a hat on size ten 16 inch round knitting needles. The same yarn in a different color appears to need longer round needles. The yarn is all bunched up. Why does this happen?
Different dyes can affect the eventual thickness of the same yarn base - lighter colours tend to be thinner, especially, but it’s not always the case.

Have you double checked the number of stitches? Sometimes I count things one day but the next day I realise I didn’t count properly
