Hello! Does anyone know how to add a ruffle to the edge of a wrist warmer/fingerless gloves? I want to make a super simple wrist warmer and then put a little lace edge aorund the top to finish it off. Any ideas? THanks.
Pick up sts around the edge, then inc in each one the next two or three rounds, as many rounds as you want to make.

Sue, Thanks for your help. One more question though…do I increase in each stich for every round or just the first round and then knit even for 2-3 rounds? Thanks again!
if you knit even it won’t work. increase in every stitch for as big as you want the ruffle to be, and then bind off.
THANKS…I’ll give is a shot!!
Sorry, I didn’t see your question before I left for work.
Yes, you do have to increase in every stitch and I think on every round. Increasing that much is what makes it ruffle. Try a sample that way for a few rows (like a swatch), and also try it inc 1 row, 1 row plain, inc 1 row, 1 row plain and see which you like better.

Sue,
Thanks !! I’m going to try it this weekend. I really appreciate the help.
I did a ruffled edge on a shrug for my DD and on a baby cap. You increase in every stitch on the first row, straight knit or purl on the second, increase every stitch on the third row, straight knit or purl on the fourth, and so on for as wide as you want the ruffle. For wristlets 3 or 4 rows should do it.
Of course, if you are starting your project at the end where the ruffle is supposed to be, CO triple the number of stitches called for in the pattern, knit the first row, decrease in the second row, and so forth until you get down to the correct number of starting stitches and then follow the pattern directions.
It’s so cute to add a little flair to these little projects.
