Rowan Kidsilk Haze

Hello!
New here and this is my first post/question. I look forward to interacting with other knitters.
So, I purchased some lovely Lace weight yarn, Rowan Kidsilk Haze and while I love the pattern I am planning on making, the yarn knits up so airy and loose that I wondered if it made sense to knit an another (non-mohair) yarn along with it. I did some searching online to find into on knitting two yarns together for a pattern, but came up with nothing. Anyone have experience with this and can make recommendations?
Many thanks for your help.

What is the name of your pattern and designer?
If you would like to fill in the pattern stitch, there are some very pretty Holst Garn yarns that might work. I’ve used a kid silk held with Holst Garn Uld Bomuld to knit a sweater and liked the result.
It really depends on how much you’d like to fill in the yarn. Was the light and loose stitch what attracted you to the pattern to begin with?

One of my early projects was using Rowan kidsilk haze as a single strand in a DK pattern. I used the dk specified needle and gauge and got a very light and airy fabric which was also fabulously warm! In retrospect, my only problem was in using a cable cast on which was far too rigid for such a fine fabric.

There are lots of patterns though that combine this yarn with a fingering yarn for a more substantial fabric. Or using two or more strands of the lace weight.

Here are a few patterns I particularly like!

I don’t know if this is of any use.
Drops have a lace weight kid silk and on their website they have some swatches to show the results of different combinations of yarns held together. I realise you have Rowan kid silk, not Drops, but perhaps it helps in some way or Rowan may have similar on their site?
The swatches can be clicked on to see pics, a short video of the yarn worked up and some links to patterns used with those yarns. Although you have chosen a pattern it might give some insight as to what size needles and what gauge would be expected when you add a second yarn.

I’ve never used 2 yarns held together but sometimes when I want to adapt a pattern or design my own I browse various patterns to get an idea of where to start.

I’m always planning to try kid silk, that fine translucent flowing fabŕic looks so nice, there are sveral patterns i like, but I don’t like fuzzy, wispy bits that tickle my nose so I’ve never actually tried it.

Hi- thanks so much for your response. The Pattern is Bonny by Tin Can Knits and the photo does show a very open, wispy look so I think I will stick with just the single strand. I did a guage swatch using the lace and another fingering weight left over yarn, just to see how it looked and it appeared to be just heavier than I would like. This is a summer sweater, even with mohair, so I do want to keep it light.

I will definitely check those out- thanks so much for taking the time to respond. As I said in another response, I made a guage swatch using the Kidsilk along with a fingering weight and I think it is too heavy for the design of the sweater - Bonny by Tin Can Knits.
