Hi. I am looking to knit the Robinia Sweater by Anne Ventzel in size large.
I need help with working out how much yarn I need to knit this sweater in size large. I want to use a Bulky 12ply yarn held single strand to knit this sweater instead of multiple strands together.
I am needing help working out how many meters of yarn I would need in each colour to make size large. I would like to use a dark shade for the main colour and a cream for the second colour so if you can work out the amount for each that would be fantastic!
The yarn I am using is whisper 12ply by skeinz I will include a screenshot with the yarn’s details.

A friend has made this sweater which turns out just as lovely as the photos.
The pattern calls for bulky yarn at 16sts/10cm using multiple strands held together.
For the size large that works out to about 770-850m each of yarn A and 375m of yarn B which is about what you would need for a single strand of bulky yarn.
Try your bulky yarn to see if you get that gauge and you can then go with the above numbers. It’s always a good idea to add an extra ball of yarn when buying as insurance against running out.
