I believe they think he died of Pneumonia. I didn’t particularly like him or his type of his music. I think there are many many black male and female performers of that era that I enjoyed much much more, the Temptations, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Wilson Pickett, Isaac Hayes, etc.
It was just a personal preference for me. It is sad that he left a wife and child.

One of a kind, end of an era for sure.
He had his flaws but who doesn’t? He was truely a master of his art and will be sorely missed. :pout: :verysad:
