Right side? Confused 😕

Hi all and thankyou for letting me join! I have just started knitting this hoodie and am so confused as to which is the right side and which is the side edge? If anyone could point me in the right direction i would be eternally grateful! Thankyou

Welcome to KH!

You’'re knitting looks so even and nice that it’s difficult to tell the right or public side (RS) from the wrong or private (WS) side. I’m assuming this is the RS of the left front (left as you would wear the jacket) and if so then the red arrow marks the right edge.

It’s often helpful to put a marker in the knit fabric somewhere to mark the RS.

I see you’ve got it now, but for future it can help to compare the pattern and fabric. The RS (public side) of the fabric starts with K2 and ends with P1. If you look at both RS and WS of the fabric and compare them, the RS has 2 columns of Vs or knit stitches at the very edge (the K2 at the beginning of row 1), one of those columns might hide as the fabric curls to the back but you can see when you uncurl or flatten it. The other side, WS, has only 1 column of Vs or knit stitches (at the beginning of the row), this is the single knit stitch at the beginning or row 2 and also the back side of the single purl made at the end of the RS row.

Your knitting look great, I’m not surprised you couldn’t tell RS from WS they look so similar.
