Reusing blocked yarn

I have washed and blocked 2 sleeves using Acadia yarn {60% Merino Wool, 20% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk}. One of the sleeves is an inch to long and also too wide…don’t know how this happened but it did.:??
I will frog and wet the yarn to get the kinks out before I reuse it.

My questions is:
After knitting with this yarn again will it block again or is all the elasticity gone from being blocked the first time?

You usually have to ‘block’ a sweater every time you wash it anyway. Blocking doesn’t have to be anything more than just washing and pat it into shape to dry flat. You might take that larger sleeve and rewet it, see if you can smoosh it a little smaller. Though it’s possible your gauge changed or you accidentally used a larger needle.

Well… most people I know say that the blocking stays when you are using a natural fiber. I don’t use them for myself due to skin sensitivity so I don’t have much experience.

Can you count the rows so you you’ll know if one is actually too long or maybe it just blocked longer than you expected?
