Retrofitting a spinning wheel

I received my mothers spinning wheel last year and the “works” is missing. I have the mother of all and part of the flyer but no bobbin, no drive band and no drive parts. The wheel was hand made in Azores portugal a long time ago so I can’t go to the maker. The wheel is made in the style of the Ashford Elizabeth 2 and has a single treadle. The main difference being the bed of the Elizabeth 2 is on more of an uphill angle than mine is. With this one exception they look pretty much the same.

Would it be possible to retrofit parts from the Ashford Elizabeth 2 wheels?

Try posting to the Antique Spinning Wheels group on Ravelry. Lots of knowledgeable people who know about fixing old wheels, finding parts, etc.
