Rescaling human pattern for 1/3 doll

I have a ball joint doll which is about 1/3 the size of an average human. Her measurements can be seen here http://www.denverdoll.com/elfdoll_sooah.htm

I was wondering how I would go about scaling a human pattern to her size, say this one http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring04/PATTbadpenny.html. Thanks I was always bad with word problems in math so that’s probably why i can’t figure out how to do this.

I don’t know how other people do it, but i knit up a swatch in the yarn i want to use and simply use that as a guide for stitching, ie. how many stitches of the swatch would it take to cover hips, bust, etc, and include decreases/increases for fitting (not that there would be too much of that with a project this size :thinking: )
