Rejoining Yarn Scraps

Hello, My name is Nancy and thank you for allowing me into this forum. It is wanting to learn all that I can about knitting and fibers. And I have a question. I’m taking apart a sweater that is no longer loved, for the yarn. It contains 50% alpaca 30% wool and 20% Nylon. I have many long pieces of yarn but I would like to know how to rejoin so it will look like it never been in pieces. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks All in advance!

For this yarn, I’d use the Russian join:

For natural fibres that can be felted, you could spit splice (this is more for your future reference, though).
