Enough of a night’s work. @sheldon GrumpyGramma isn’t getting a preview pane along with the Reply box nor are there arrowheads to expand the Reply box. Any fix or magic that you can work?
@GrumpyGramma @sheldon i am also no longer getting the preview window, it just disappeared one day. It is useful when posting a link or photo as it shows properly in the preview window which it doesn’t do in the main window until I post.
Sheldon, is there a way to check the setting for how the text flow works, this also changed (maybe at the upgrade or maybe more recently) which is making it harder for me to post. My posts are littered with typos because I use a touch screen tablet and manage to hit the wrong letter more than I would when touch typing on a proper keyboard, my tablet also insists on changing lots of words to the wrong words (I call it auto-incorrect) and I have to change these too. What is happening now as I try to correct all those errors is the software is deleting the space between words. It’s auto deleting the word space and this isn’t happening on any other programme I use so I think it must be within the site settings. I’m not sure my explanation of this makes sense but I’ll leave it at that and hope it makes enough sense.
Thanks so much for all your help.

I think your post landed on the wrong thread, a glitch maybe.
Sure did. Thanks, Creations!
I’ve been having problems with text and just chalked them up to ID 10 T errors but maybe not. Last night I kept getting error messages and a thing saying something (editing?) was offline. Today? We’ll see. I’m better at knitting than tech any day of the week. I use a laptop. Don’t know if I could do the app on my new degoogled phone. It won’t allow anything that trackers can’t be blocked.
I’m glad you found my not-so-greatly organized video on the topic! lol!
Thanks for the further words on what you have in mind. Does the Mantra ““Same Off, Opposite On” work the way you’re speaking of?: If the stitch presenting you is a knit, then go in Knit-wise it and slip it Off, then for the adjacent stitch put it in the opposite way–Purl–and leave it on. And vise versa if it’s a purl stitch facing you as in the back needle.
@Creations and @salmonmac, I’ll let Shel know about the preview window, in case he misses your posts.
On another topic: I have a video that is essentially single crochet worked as a bind off in knitting. I don’t remember where I found it referenced originally as “Double crochet BO” but that’s what I have it titled as. It’s clearly nothing like Double Crochet, so I’m wondering if any of you have seen it called by “single crochet BO” or another more appropriate title? (Regular “Crochet BO” being reserved I think for the standard knit BO worked with a crochet hook; unless I should change the title of that one as well!)
It’s interesting as a bind off although there seem to be at least two bind offs called single crochet bind off online.
(Similar to the one on KH, Single crochet bind off)
(Similar to the one on KH Double Crochet bind off)
Yes, I think that’s pretty much what I have in mind except that when I bind off seed stitch in pattern I then knit the purls and purl the knits so I have to work it for the newly formed stitch to present correctly. I don’t know why bind off in pattern for seed stitch is presented as knit the knits and purl the purls when that is not the pattern. Truly working in pattern looks better to me. That’s why I count - I look at each stitch individually and do the needed step. Maybe you should never mind me on this. It took me years and a epiphany to realize that @OffJumpsJack is part of a knitting rhyme. Such things don’t mean much to me.
My best thought on crochet bind offs is group them together and hope the title is descriptive. The one linked is, to me, simply a crochet bind off but I tend to be ignorant about such things. I’m not certain I ever found this video or the grafting video when I was learning to do them. You need better exposure! Maybe Sheldon knows how to make your videos show up more often on youtube.
The original video might have been British. Crochet terms are off by one between the US and the UK. A US single crochet is a UK double, so if that’s what it looks like, that’s probably what happened. Maybe don’t specify, and just call it “Crochet Bind-off”.
