Recommendation for a beginner (a real one)

Hello everyone,

I am very new to knitting. The only thing I can do really well right now is knit a scarf (one color only!).

I would like to know if any of you would have suggestions to give me as to a project on this site that I would be able to do.

I have printed the “Snail Shell Beach Purse” and will try it.
I also am working on getting acquainted with the abbreviations…there are so many…

Besides the beginner projects here, have you considered practicing on dishcloths? They’re small, varied, and can be made of inexpensive cotton so you don’t feel like you’re wasting money.

Just a suggestion.

Hi there! My first project is a Lighthouse dishcloth… it’s a good one for me to do because it has you doing increases and decreases.

For my next project, I’m going to try a hat for my son (knit flat and seamed, I daren’t try those dratted double pointed needles yet!).
