I have a knitting pattern that starts with row 1 on the left (so you would read it from left to right). All the odd rows are on the left and even rows are on the right. It is a baby blanket so I am not knitting in the round. Am I missing something?
Greetings!!
Is this a written pattern or a diagram???

It’s a diagram. Lots of Love baby blanket
I have attached the diagram

Welcome!
The convention is to start charts at the lower right but your chart clearly starts with stitch one in the lower left on an odd number row. Technically you would then read the even number rows right to left but since the pattern is symmetrical it won’t matter. It should work out just fine.
Thank you very much. That’s what I thought, but then I was second guessing myself.
One other question- when you look at the Key it says:
x means knit on RS purl on WS
a blank box means purl
So if you look at Row 2- I interpret that as purling every stitch. Also row six is what I am suppose to do on all even rows from that point on. Am I just purling each stitch?
Am I reading this correctly?
Row 6 (call it a WS row) is indeed purl across the row. Each square in the chart has an X in it for purl on the wrong side row. You’ll notice that sts 1-4 and 150-153 are blank indicating purl sts for row 6. That’s fine but I would continue the border in purl on every row so that the border lies flat.
Row 2 is also purl across.
