Reading a pattern.. yf?

Hi,
When the pattern says [k2tog, yf, skpo]…
after the 1st decrease, I put my yarn forward and slip a stitch to the right hand needle. Is the yarn still forward when I knit that next stitch?
Does that make sense?
Thanks!

Yes, the yarn can still be at the front when you knit the next stitch - the action of knitting the next stitch will bring the yarn over the right needle to the back in order to complete the stitch, and this at the same time will produce an increase of one stitch. That loop of yarn over your right needle will be worked as a usual stitch on the next row.

(amazing how many times the word ‘stitch’ can be used in one small paragraph :teehee: )

Perfect! I’ll try it!
